actively involved in their student's educations. Ninety-three
percent of the faculty hold a Ph.D. or the highest degree in their
field.
A
small undergraduate academic community of 2,240 students
The expression "Less is more!" certainly
applies to Widener. With a small undergraduate academic community
of 2,240 students, Widener can help individual students get the
most out of their education. The student-to-faculty ration is a
small 11:1, assuring all students of the personal attention to
which Widener is renowned.

level of intellectual activity. Students are invited to
participate in the Honors Program based on their high school
records and SAT scores.
Extensive co-op opportunities and
expert career advising
Extensive internship and co-op
opportunities are available to students at
a diverse group of
local, regional, and national companies. Taking advantage of co-op
opportunities is a great way for students to build their resume
and get experience in a field they are interested in. The Career
Advising and Planning Services (CAPS) Office provides programs and
services to assist students with choosing a major, career options,
career-related experience, internships, resume and interviewing
skills, and job placement. CAPS has provided over 65 percent of
the graduating seniors with an on-campus contact that was used as
a method to locate a position.
