Widener's six undergraduate schools offer over 65 fields of study. What is Widener?

At Widener, teaching and graduate assistants are not used. All classes and laboratories are taught by talented faculty who are actively involved in their student's educations. Ninety-three percent of the faculty hold a Ph.D. or the highest degree in their field.

The expression "Less is more!" certainly applies to Widener. With a small undergraduate academic community of 2,240 students, Widener can help individual students get the most out of their education. The student-to-faculty ration is a small 11:1, assuring all students of the personal attention to which Widener is renowned.

A choice of more than 60 programs.
Widener University offers more than 60 different programs in the areas of business administration, computer science, engineering, hospitality management, human service professions, liberal arts, nursing, pre-professional studies, and science. Students who are undecided can enter the exploratory studies program.

A challenging Honors Program
Widener's Honors Program invites talented students into a structured program that stimulates and encourages the highest level of intellectual activity. Students are invited to participate in the Honors Program based on their high school records and SAT scores.

Extensive co-op opportunities and expert career advising
Extensive internship and co-op opportunities are available to students at
a diverse group of local, regional, and national companies. Taking advantage of co-op opportunities is a great way for students to build their resume and get experience in a field they are interested in. The Career Advising and Planning Services (CAPS) Office provides programs and services to assist students with choosing a major, career options, career-related experience, internships, resume and interviewing skills, and job placement. CAPS has provided over 65 percent of the graduating seniors with an on-campus contact that was used as a method to locate a position.
