Community College's open admission policy offers high school
graduates as well as non-high school graduates, who have the
ability to benefit from the programs or courses offered by the
College, an opportunity to enroll.
Recognizing the diversity of backgrounds and skills
represented in its student body, Owens Community College has
designed an assessment program for all entering students. Assessment
services required by the College are free and may include an
evaluation of reading, writing and math skills. Based on the
results of the assessment process, students are placed in
courses appropriate to their academic achievement and skill
level.
