Maranatha is an institution of not only higher learning, but also higher standards. Maranatha is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Since the express purpose of Maranatha Baptist Bible College is to train men and women for Christian service in the local church, only those students who give a clear testimony of personal salvation in Jesus Christ may enroll. It is expected that those who seek admission manifest good character, a dedication to purpose, evidence of necessary academic preparation, and a sincere desire to know and to do the will of God.

God-honoring, Bible-believing churches, schools, and colleges from across the country and many foreign countries have acknowledged the spiritual, academic, and professional contribution Maranatha has made to their ministries. Maranatha has trained their young people and educated some of their pastors, teachers, youth leaders, and other members of their staff. Accredited public, private, and Christian colleges and universities accept degrees earned at Maranatha as a foundation for graduate studies and have accepted credits earned for transfer. The College is listed in the Higher Education Directory printed for the United States Department of Education.
