Luzerne County Community College is a public, two-year comprehensive community college for residents of Luzerne County and surrounding areas throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The College is fully accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, 3624 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19104.

A leader in technology training, LCCC offers a variety of educational programs and support services to provide students an opportunity to pursue an education consistent with their interests and capabilities and educational and employment demands.

Ever since Luzerne County Community College opened its doors for the first time to students of Luzerne County in 1967, LCCC has rapidly flourished into a first-rate college system. In addition to its main campus in Nanticoke, LCCC has expanded its outreach by offering college courses at 19 sites in 10 counties. Some of LCCC's facilities include a new 70,000 sq. ft. Campus Center for student activities and development programs, an Advanced Technology Center to house its state-of-the-art technology programs, and a Conference Center utilized by area businesses and industry.

The College has the highest student enrollment in Northeastern Pennsylvania and has graduated over 17,000 students currently employed in more than 200 area public and private businesses and institutions, or who have transferred to more than 60 four-year colleges and universities for further study.
