The University of Kentucky is Homeschooler Friendly! The University of Kentucky was founded in 1865. The campus in Lexington includes the colleges and graduate school with an enrollment of about 24,000 students. The University's Chandler Medical Center provides medical education and research and includes the University of Kentucky Hospital. Located around the state are the fourteen Community Colleges with a total enrollment of about 46,000 students. The Community Colleges offer a varied curriculum including continuing education and programs leading to associate technical degrees.
